If you believe that Nvidia’s new Tegra 3 is the future, then you might want to read this new blog post.
According to a report posted by The Verge, Sony is now working on a new tablet PC that will use the new processor, and it looks like the unannounced device is Sony’s “iPad 3 killer.”
The device, aside from Tegra 3, is reportedly equipped with the latest version of Android, the Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 version 4.0.3 which could be compatible with Verizon’s 4G LTE (based on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus) or even Sprint’s upcoming Long Term Evolution network. No word yet about the device’s cellular provider of if it will also debut here in the U.S.
But here is the “sad” part of the story, the report also added that the device will include a respectable but not the super high-end 1280 x 800 screen resolution. Depending on the tablet’s screen size, the new tablet might support 100 to 200 pixels per inch. It is worth noting that the new iPad 3 is equipped with a screen that offers 264 pixels per inch.
