Apple hates optical drive? Maybe, because they want to focus on post-pc activities that love the internet.
Earth, according to Theoretical Physicist Michio Kaku, is a “Type ZERO Civilization” because we do not own our own planet yet, plus the hindrances to work as “one planet” like lack of control of volcanos, earthquake, no civilization under the sea and so much more.
However, Kaku said that we’re getting there thanks to European Union, discovery of other planets sitting on habitable zone or Goldilocks zone, also the game football and expensive brands like Chanel and Gucci, and of course — internet which is considered as a “type one telephone system” that connects humans worldwide.
But aside from putting earth into the Planet One type, internet is also killing optical drives that will change the way we interact with the internet.
Now, let’s go back to earth. According to latest rumors surrounding the MacBook Pro plus the MacBook Air 2012. According to the latest round of MacBook Pro 2012 rumors, Apple is producing the new laptop sans the optical drive. If true, then we’re on the verge of an era where laptop users will rely on the internet to access knowledge and fun.
Digitimes report, heralded by our favorite Time Magazine, claims that the new MacBook Pro is now in production for the usual 13-inch and 15-inch models with the monthly production number between 100,000 to 150,000 units adding that soon, Apple will mass produce Macbook Pro models up to nearly 1 million per month, yikes.
The numbers are not the highlight of the new report — but the lack of optical drive, and according to the Asian-based tech site, Apple’s 2012 MacBook Pro is like a powerful MacBook Air that will rely on the internet for content plus the new thin profile due to the removal of the optical drive or CD drive.
Similarly, Apple is also expected to release a new MacBook Air which should include respectable specs but will take the category below the MacBook Air with powerful processor, graphics and memory card/s. Also this month, a rumor was also posted claiming that Apple might put a new kind of keyboard on its new MacBook Pro allowing the company to make the laptop the thinnest.
Regarding the release date, new reports say the MacBook Pro with thinner design will reportedly hit the PC market next quarter, and April may be the “soonest.” Apple will launch the Mountain Lion 10.8 this coming Summer so it is safe to say that Apple might launch the new laptops before August.
